If you’ve not yet dived into Battlefront II, now is the perfect time to do so. The multiplayer spans all eras, across every film (including spin-offs Rogue One and Solo), on the iconic battlefields with your favourite heroes and villains and starships in a broad variety of game modes. It is, quite appropriately, a story about redemption – about family, and hope, and (unconventionally for Star Wars) a mother and her daughter fighting the good fight against the First Order. I myself picked this game up on release to experience the story of Iden Versio, after reading Christie Golden’s marvellous tie-in Inferno Squad novel.
Over the years, we’ve seen a campaign expansion continue the events of campaign protagonist Iden Versio’s journey, tying into The Last Jedi we’ve had playable Ewoks, new heroes (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, Count Dooku, Finn, and many more), co-operative and instant action modes, new worlds, new characters skins, and a complete overhaul of the progression system.Ī touching tribute to the developers’ commitment to the game has been uploaded by Battlefront II cinematography-dedicated channel Cinematic Captures, with messages from fans at the end of this great journey.
